Transition Advisory Council (TAC)

Transition Advisory Council (TAC)The members of this council meet monthly to receive national and state level information on the latest trends and initiatives specific to the area of transition and assist in the planning of district level transition-related activities. The Transition Advisory Council provides a forum for teachers to be aware of current information regarding agencies, legal issues, best practices and state-wide activities. In addition, concerns at the school and district level can be brought to the attention of others in the region and to the state level. Networking with other professional and parent representatives allows collaboration to solve problems and share resources. Each middle school and high school should have a representative on the Transition Advisory Council. If you would like more information about this group, please contact cvanavery@nric-ri.org
